ITRP Training Program

The mission of the ITRP Training Program is to provide training for ITRP campus participants that will enhance the fundamental and advanced skills required for effectively supporting the network infrastructure software and hardware. The ITRP Training Program is funded by the CSU Chancellor's Office.

In fulfilling this mission, it is imperative that each campus collaborates with the ITRP Training Coordinator to assess the existing skill level of the campus network staff and to determine training objectives specific to each staff person. To initiate this effort, campus managers are asked to complete a short survey. The next step is for each ITRP Training Participant to complete a survey and complete an online Cisco Skills Evaluation. This information will be used to develop a training plan specifically designed for their individual needs. Campus managers will then receive a spreadsheet indicating the training plans for each staff person participating in the ITRP Training Program. The ITRP Training Coordinator and Campus Manager together will track the individual learning plans to make sure the training goals are met. The intent is for training participants to build on their existing knowledge and be better prepared to support the software and hardware associated with the ITRP Standard Operating Environment (SOE).

What should I do next?
